  1. The calibration sample was used to perform the empirically driven item reduction for each subconstruct scale, whereas the full sample was used to examine correlates of each sensory construct. Cognitive scores (varied standardized measures of both IQ and DQ; see methods section for additional details) and adaptive behavior scores (derived from the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales; Sparrow 2011) are presented on a standard score metric (normative sample M = 100, SD = 15). Psychiatric symptom scores (varied standardized measures; see methods section for additional details) are presented on a T-score metric (normative sample M = 50, SD = 10).
