The table above provides the results of the tests for effect direction concordance. CpGs with p value < 1 × 10⁻⁴ in the discovery dataset were tested for concordance in effect direction in the testing dataset. The numbers in the cells (in italic) provides the total number of CpGs with concordant effect direction in the testing dataset. The number of CpGs in the discovery dataset provides the total number of CpGs in the discovery dataset with p value < 1 × 10⁻⁴. None of the results were significant (binomial sign test) after correcting for the multiple tests conducted
